HEBU Medical 7.5" Tungsten Carbide Cast Bandage Scissors (thumb indexed) are used for sizing dressings and removing circumferential bandages. They may also be used to cut tougher material such as plaster fabric.
The '01' suffix on all HEBU scissors indicate that the top ring is angled so that the thumb indexes more toward the tip of the scissors. See the video tab for more information.
The jaws of the bandage scissors are angled with the lower serrated blade being slightly longer. The tip of the lower blade features a flattened blunt nodule that is intended to slide between bandages and skin without cutting the skin. The top blade is smooth and sharp.
Scissors with Tungsten Carbide have hardened inserts seamlessly bonded to the upper and lower blades. These premium-grade scissors offer precision cutting performance as well as the durability of Tungsten Carbide cutting edges.
Tungsten Carbide Scissors represent a considerable cost savings to the clinician as a result of consistently superior performance and extended service life.
Well rounded and polished for better “feel and comfort” as well as prevention of hand fatigue, these golden finished handles differentiate Tungsten Carbide as precision instruments.
